VENDARGUES
FEBRUARY 10, 2026
Hello everyone,
I am truly delighted to welcome you today, just over a year after the laying of our foundation stone, in this new setting dedicated to creation this magnificent 800 square meter soundstage, at the cutting edge of technology and CSR whose name we are about to unveil. I know you have been eagerly awaiting it since the end of Cinémed; just a few more moments of patience.
A year ago, at the very start of this construction project, we presented what seemed an extremely ambitious vision. Today, I am proud to confirm that we have delivered it and even exceeded our expectations: two new buildings totaling 8,226 square meters, facing a one hectare landscaped area equipped with sports facilities and, as the icing on the cake, a beach volleyball court. Why, you may ask?
Because Montpellier, like the France Télévisions Group, combines creative excellence with sporting and esport excellence, as demonstrated by the champions present or represented here today, who have kindly joined us.
Thanks to the alignment of all the right energies, we are the first France 2030 award winning studio to enter into operation, a distinction of which we are immensely proud.
V Studios now offers an expanded, state of the art service portfolio. Across V1 and V2, we provide 25,000 square meters dedicated to creation and innovation, including our VFX subsidiary Les Tontons Truqueurs. Our facilities comprise nine soundstages ranging from 300 to 1,100 square meters, with heights of 5 to 10 meters, two of which are ERP certified, a backlot area, construction workshops, set and furniture storage, warehousing and post production spaces, catering and hospitality areas, and open plan offices capable of hosting animation studios, video game developers, training organizations, and other economic players.
This achievement is the result of what we proudly call the Occitanie package and the shared passion that has driven us collectively for several years.
During our audit for the Bâtiment Durable Occitanie Silver certification on January 29, the commission awarded us 10 bonus points in recognition of the sustainable coherence of our project and the innovations implemented, notably in the areas of:
• Acoustics: as you may notice, the walls of this soundstage are slightly angled, preventing the cathedral effect typical of 10 meter grid heights
• Water management: rainwater is reused for sanitary facilities, and greywater is used to irrigate green spaces
• Energy optimization: our 3,800 square meters of rooftop photovoltaic panels operate under a collective self consumption scheme, allowing surplus energy production to be prioritized for our original site
But what do we mean by sustainable coherence?
It means the commitment of all stakeholders involved in this project, many of whom are present here today. First and foremost, our highly dedicated core project team, who continuously found solutions to every challenge. The France Télévisions Group, with the unwavering support of our President Delphine Ernotte Cunci. The French State, represented by the Prefect of Hérault, Chantal Mauret, and by Fabrice Casadebaig for the SGPI, which oversees France 2030 Investments for the Future. The operators of the Grande Fabrique de l Image, Caisse des Dépôts and CNC. LCL, present here today, which financed the operation.
Our construction partners Proudreed, represented by its CEO Christophe Le Corre, who exceptionally agreed to sell us this two hectare site; ADC, our general contractor, represented by its President Aurélie Coquet; and all the companies involved, 80 percent of which are local. The local authorities who have supported us since our arrival in the region in 2018: the Région Occitanie, represented today by Claudie Faucon Méjean on behalf of President Carole Delga; the Montpellier Metropolis, with Michaël Delafosse and his teams; Guy Lauret for the City of Vendargues; TAM, which has begun construction of the BusTram that will soon connect us to Montpellier city center in just 15 minutes; the Rectorate and Paul Valéry University, whose Presidents and Directors I am pleased to acknowledge, working alongside us to develop inclusive and tailored training programs such as the audiovisual BTS at Lycée Champollion.
And our outstanding public and private partners based in the region and beyond, ArtFX, Travelling, Nouvelles Écritures, École du Plateau, as well as the European Screenwriters Network, La Fémis, Louis Lumière, Cours Florent, and many others.
Sustainable coherence thus translates into the development of a genuine audiovisual hub, the Village de l Image in Vendargues, generating several thousand jobs accessible to all, across more than 60 professions that bring every type of creative content to life, whether French or international: daily dramas, series, feature films, documentaries, Twitch shows, music videos, commercials, and now, in these remarkable new soundstages, the capacity to host both cinematic productions and live audience shows: entertainment formats, game shows, events.
Our friends from ZQSD, led by Adrien Nougaret, known as ZeratoR, who are present here today, asked for it, and we delivered.
Soon, new players from our industry will join this hub: technical service providers, training organizations, production companies, and innovative industry stakeholders.
Already, the CSR consultancy A Better Prod has joined us, offering our clients the best tools to help them achieve their sustainability ambitions.
We have all the assets required to ensure the continued growth of our activities.
Let us continue to build this success together, by joining forces, just as we have done hand in hand with Proudreed over the past two years.
Thank you for your attention, and I now hand over to Christophe Le Corre.
