DELPHINE ERNOTTE CUNCI

PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE FRANCE TELEVISIONS GROUP

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in the FTV adventure in Vendargues , which began six years ago.

In 2018, we made a great bet : to open studios here of an unprecedented size for our group, and thus increase our production capacity, develop our activity in a new territory, and support the development of the audiovisual sector in Occitanie. It was also a bet on the diversification of our resources and our activities to strengthen the means of public audiovisual through our production subsidiary FTVS. This bet was a great success , and it is always a great pleasure for me to come to Vendargues in these studios which are a real hive of activity.
Thanks to all our partners , in particular the Occitanie region, the city and metropolis of Montpellier, the city of Vendargues, we have developed an innovative production site here, which serves every day as a setting for our USGS series and hosts other filming.
An entire ecosystem has developed around our site which contributes to the dynamism of the audiovisual sector in the region, in particular thanks to the links we have forged with training organizations.

Today, the construction of Vendargues 2 marks a new stage for this site and for the development of France TV studio:
V Studios will provide industry players with a cutting-edge filming infrastructure that can accommodate all types of audiovisual production. I am very pleased that we are offering all market players a structure of this scale that combines performance, versatility and ecological commitment.
We are very proud to have been awarded the “La Grande Fabrique de l'image” call for projects by France 2030 for this project, and I would like to thank all the government departments that are working to support our initiative.
We will be very happy to welcome the SND teams who will produce the new daily soap opera for M6. We are thus creating new links between public and private audiovisual, for the benefit of the vitality of French creation.

This new location embodies a strong ambition to modernize our resources and our model, while remaining faithful to our public service vocation .

CAROLE DELGA

PRESIDENT OF THE OCCITANIE / PYRENEES-MEDITERRANEAN REGION

I'm delighted that France Télévisions has once again chosen Vendargues and the Occitanie region for its new studios. This is excellent news, strengthening Montpellier's cultural and creative industries ecosystem and underpinning our plans to turn it into a world-class centre.

CHRISTOPHE LE CORRE

PRESIDENT OF PROUDREED, REPRESENTED BY FABIEN ARZUR

For our part, we will continue the development of this park (which should ultimately represent 70,000 m² of built space) with two buildings of 12,000 and 8,000 m², welcoming as a priority companies working in the cultural and creative industry, wishing to set up next to this formidable locomotive that is France TV Studios, in what will very quickly become the VEELLAGE of the image.

FABRICE CASADEBAIG

CULTURE ADVISOR TO THE GENERAL SECRETARIAT FOR INVESTMENT

Why include culture in the France 2030 program?
Because the cultural and creative industries are essential and strategic. Essential, of course, in everyone's life. Culture is our relationship with beauty, with our humanity. It is what connects us, what moves us, what uplifts us. It's also strategic for our economy: CCIs account for over 2% of GDP, as much as the agri-food industry and twice as much as the car industry.
